Mali Day

Mali Day!

Children tomorrow will be asked to wear red, yellow and green to celebrate Mali Day. We will be learning lots about this French speaking country such as the different food they eat and the music they create. Pictures will follow shortly! Children in year three have loved learning French with Mrs Sullivan this year. Here are some French videos that the children can practice with.

Pentecost Party

Year three and the rest of the school made a fantastic effort at wearing red, orange and yellow for our Pentecost Party last Friday. We had lots of fun making kites to represent the Holy Spirit and baking flame coloured biscuits! Mrs Smith's class also made a superb shadow puppet show and dove decorations. Here are a look at some of pictures of the day!

                                                                Quick Reminder!

Don't forget to come to school on Friday wearing something red or with big hair so we can celebrate Red Nose Day and raise lots of money for people in Africa and Britain. There will also be lots of yummy cakes on sale and it would be fantastic if you could bring some in. Hopefully we can take plenty of funny pictures of our year three class with their special outfits, big hair and delicious buns!

This week year three are working extra hard in maths, learning how to tell the time to the nearest five minutes and working out time problems. Here are some pictures of the class playing time bingo! The class have also enjoyed playing this fantastic ICT time game which has been testing their time and addition skills.
